Mumbaikars celebrate volunteerism.

Over the weekend, hundreds of volunteers along with their families, supporters, donors and children from the NGO gathered at the Bandra Fort to celebrate the 8th Day of Grace.

On this day, Angle Xpress Foundation puts up a community event to celebrate and acknowledge the hard work and dedication shown by over 550 volunteers across 20 centres.

AXF is a 12A & 80G certified NGO enables the socially-conscious to give back meaningfully by offering English, math and Life Skills training to underprivileged children. Founders, Anubha Sharma and Beenaa Advani, established this NGO in 2012, and now they are a strong team tutoring and mentoring over 2200 children, mostly from BMC schools.

The Bandra Fort, a perfect location to enjoy the cool weather of Mumbai, was buzzing with the sounds of laugher and cheer as the performances began. Children from the NGO practiced and put up a good show for their mentors, whom they usually refer to as “Miss”. The children have grown very fond of them and look forward to coming for their classes.
The show went on till late evening, with poetry recitals and a great line up of Spoken Word artists from Radio Mirchi’s Scribbld. The closing act was a musical performance by Amrita Talukdar, who was judged music reality show winner by AR Rehman.
