Covestro India along with ARCH Development Foundation organised a 3 day ‘Eureka Science Fest’ for Students


 Covestro (India) Private Limited, Mumbai alongwith their CSR partner ARCH Development Foundation from Vadodara are dedicatedly working since past 3 years with nearly 50 government and aided schools across India to develop scientific temperament amongst the scholars of those schools by providing “Brighter World Labs” constituting 109 working models covering majority of the NCERT science syllabus.



Above from lab – the project Brighter World Lab is supported with various science base activities throughout the tutorial year and an annual mega event of Eureka Science Fest is conducted per annum .

This year Eureka Science Fest in Mumbai was inaugurated by Mr Anand Srinivasan, director , Covestro (India) Private Limited along side Mr Nishant Shah – Director ARCH Development Foundation within the presence of Guest of Honour – Shri Rajendra Bhat – Krishibhusan awardee and founding father of Nisarg Mitra Farms.

11 schools from Thane and Navi Mumbai surrounding with nearly 230 participants exhibited various models and science experiments in various categories like Working Model on Physics, phenomenal ideas and innovative concepts on Smart Agriculture and Alternate Use of Plastics and various science based DIY activities. Eureka Science Fair was visited by 1500 students for each day long event after which winners of every theme and category were awarded by top management officials from Covestro and Arch Foundation.

The fair hosted within the campus of Bharat Ratna Shrimati Gandhi Vidya Mandir – Thane was aptly designed by the team of Arch Foundation keeping the excitement with the participants and visitors alive through the day. The exhibits were evaluated by experts from various fields along side volunteers from Covestro to minutely grade the scholars performance and rank accordingly.

“The Brighter World Lab project is extremely on the brink of our hearts at Covestro, not simply because it's our brainchild, but because it involves two key elements for a brighter future. One is that the channel – Science and therefore the other is that the doer – the kid . If we will equip children of today with an appetite for science, instill a scientific temperament for the items around us and help them be interested by learning, the planet are going to be at their feet” said Mr. Anand Srinivasan, MD, Covestro India.

As told by Mr Nishant Shah – Eureka Science Fest may be a festival embarking not just the event and involvement of scholars within the field of science but a qualitative barometer to live the impact and success of the project where year on year with every changing school year – the project tries to succeed in 100s and 1000s of scholars to develop scientific temperament through this project and supply a unified platform for college kids to believe their capabilities and get up to the innovative and entrepreneurial aspirations of Young India………these are the faces of tomorrow who are going to be responsible to convert our todays world of varied problems into a Brighter world and Brighter future
