Phoenix Exclusive - An insightful conversation with Dynamic film director Nayan Pachori.

• Your film “Rescue” is releasing on 14th June, Tell us more about it

Ans - it's my first feature film as a Writer and Director as our team always try to

make some experimental films so that’s how we got the idea of making Rescue.

Rescue is a psychological Thriller. The main part was to Hammer the neutral

thinking of the society so that our society can think from both the ends .

● What was your drive behind becoming a filmmaker and making Rescue?

 Ans - Film is what inspired me always . I love filmmaking because i love to create

and to be surrounded by creators. During one of our shoot’s i just casually

discussed the incident of nagpur with my Co-writer Abhijeet kamble, where 2,3

girls trapped a Milk Man and Harassed him and end up killing him. Just after a

month i came up with the structure of film and my Team An eve films Decided to

name it Rescue and go on floor.

● Can you tell us about a funny anecdote regarding the cast of Rescue that you had

worked with?

Ans - The funniest part of the film was that, we casted one of our lead Actress

Honey, played by Sreejita de two days prior the shoot.

● We all hear so often about the lack of original stories in the world. That we've all

"Seen it before". How do you stay fresh in the face of an idea like that?

 Ans - I always try to make the cinema which is relatable and entertaining, the

best thing in film making is that you can directly connect with the feelings of

your audience, and my way of working is, i always keep observing people around

so that my ideas stays fresh and relatable to my audience.

● An actor is being unprofessional. How do you manage the situation?

 Ans - I always had a good tuning with all my actors till the date. So i am lucky that

 i never faced such situations.

● What, in your opinion, is the most important quality in a film director?

 Ans - As a film director i believe that a director should always be a good Narrator

and obviously a good Human being.

● Which particular film maker has influenced you the most?

Ans- Anurag kashyap .

● If you got the opportunity to remake a classic, which one would you go for?

 Ans - its a Tamil Film name - Kuttram Kadithal

● Can you tell us more about your upcoming project?

Ans - Yes, we have just completed shooting our next Film KARMA. Its a

physiological drama. Featuring Ishita Ganguly, Kabeer singh, Ipsit nayak and

more… We are also planning a web series under our production house Aneve

films.

● Do you have any advice for young film makers out there?

Ans - Yes being the youngest Director i would love to share a quote of Director

Mr. James Cameron “ Pick up a camera. Shoot something. No matter

how small, no matter how cheesy, no matter whether your friends

and your sister star in it. Put your name on it as director. Now

you're a director. Everything after that you're just negotiating your

budget and your fee.
